Pud Custard with Peaches by Foodie Fantisserie Aa'isha Kolia

A family recipe that has been around for ages and that is a firm favourite in Aa'isha’s household as it is absolutely delicious and so simple to whip up. 
  • 4 tbsp Jungle Taystee Wheat
  • 1 litre of milk
  • ½ cup cold milk
  • 3 tbsp custard powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 big tin of Nestlé cream 
  • 1 small tin of peaches
  • ½ tin condensed milk
 
  1. In a large heavy-based pot, bring 1litre of milk to boiling point.
  2. Whisk together the ½ cup of cold milk, Taystee Wheat, custard powder, egg and vanilla essence.
  3. Add Taystee wheat mixture into hot milk and whisk until mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add in the Nestlé cream, syrup from tinned peaches, and ½ tin of condensed milk.
  6. Chop peaches and mix in.
  7. Transfer into a dish or individual glasses.
  8. Chill well before serving.
